One of the easiest (and most overlooked) ways to protect your website is by creating regular backups\u2014and cPanel\u2019s Backup Wizard makes it surprisingly simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a quick walkthrough if you\u2019ve never used it before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log into cPanel<\/strong>
    Scroll down to the Files<\/em> section and click on Backup Wizard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Choose Full or Partial Backup<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Full Backup<\/em>: Includes your home directory, databases, email forwarders, and filters. Best for restoring your whole site or migrating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Partial Backup<\/em>: Lets you download just what you need\u2014your files, databases, or email settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Generate & Download the Backup<\/strong>
      For full backups, select \u201cHome Directory\u201d as the destination, enter your email to get notified when it\u2019s ready, and click Generate Backup<\/strong>. Once it\u2019s complete, download the file to your local machine or cloud storage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Restoring (if needed)<\/strong>
      You can also restore your site from here by uploading a previously saved partial backup. Just choose the appropriate option\u2014home directory, database, or email\u2014and upload the file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      That\u2019s it. No complex setup, no extra tools\u2014just a few clicks to give yourself peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I recommend scheduling a reminder to do this weekly or after major site changes. You never think you\u2019ll need a backup\u2026 until you do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
